I have had some busy weeks lately, mixed with work, kids, family, life and obviously taking pictures. I've travelled this August to beautiful Rhodes, Copenhagen and Aarhus, Mols (Denmark). I went to my parents in Denmark and they handed me (well overdue!) 4 boxes of my old stuff!! I sat one evening going through them and found a picture from my days in school. I was 15 years old and I went to a camera club after school every week. We had film cameras (I brought my own, obviously!), and we developed the photos in the dark room at the school. The anticipation of waiting for the solution to cover the photo paper was immense! I can still remember the smell of all the solutions. I could get addicted to watching that image appear! So, I found the picture below in one of the boxes and it was of a moped which was always parked up outside school. It was red and I guess it was my first bike crush! It took me by surprise that I found the photo and then I nodded with familiarity as I still take those photos now of bikes! I think I associate bikes with freedom, speed, living and excitement. The freedom to travel, explore and feast your eyes on new sights. The picture above, of the Harley was also taken in Denmark, this summer 26 years after the below picture was taken.
I guess my point to this weeks blog post is that if you have a passion, it has probably been there for a very long time! And if it has been there for a long time it means that it is definitely a passion!! Passion drives happiness and gives life a purpose! Don't loose the passion :-)
